Downstairs from the main Kismet space, the new shop, Bridal on a Budget, is taking shape. It’s designed for brides who want elegance and value in the same dress. Peterson says the inspiration came from a simple observation for a city the size of Rochester, options for wedding attire are surprisingly limited. With a growing population and a steady stream of engagements, there’s room for more local choices that balance quality and affordability.

Bridal on a Budget offers a curated selection of pre-loved and consigned wedding gowns, giving once-worn dresses a second chance to shine. The idea is to connect brides-to-be with gently used designer pieces at a fraction of their original cost. The downstairs area is still being fine-tuned, with the team organizing receiving stations and designing a space that feels inviting for new brides and consignors alike.
