DL Trailers Moves Forward with Rochester Redevelopment

After opening its dealership on the former Ferguson Trailers site along US Highway 63 South, DL Trailers is now planning a full transformation of the twelve acre parcel that includes a creek, a bridge, and several aging buildings that no longer fit the long term vision for the business.

The redevelopment plan begins with the removal of the existing buildings on the main portion of the property. Clearing this space will allow the company to create a more efficient layout for inventory and customer access. The next phase centers on the construction of a new purpose built facility on the far side of the creek.

This section of the land has been underused for years and will become the anchor for expanded services. The new building will be accessed by crossing the onsite bridge which connects the front portion of the property to the open land beyond the creek.

DL Trailers is currently in the final stages of selecting contractors for the project and expects to announce the chosen team soon. The company plans to break ground in the spring of 2026, marking the official start of a development timeline that will reshape the entire site. The investment reflects a strong commitment to the Rochester market and a belief in the continued demand for trailers, ice houses, and outdoor equipment across the region.
