Kreofsky's Expansion Set to Boost Rochester's Business Corridor

Kreofsky Building Supplies is preparing for a major expansion in Rochester, Minnesota, with plans underway for a new office addition and warehouse at 3735 Enterprise Drive SW, located in Willow Center (Lot 4 and part of Lot 5, Block 2, PIN 64.23.42.025067).

Widseth, the engineering and design firm representing the project, submitted a Site Development Plan (SDP) application to the City of Rochester’s Department of Public Works, detailing a significant investment into the growing business corridor. The proposal includes a new office facility and an adjacent warehouse to support Kreofsky’s expanding operations in the region.

Submitted materials include detailed civil engineering plans, site layout, grading and stormwater management plans, architectural elevations, photometric lighting designs, and landscaping plans. The company also provided meeting minutes from a Neighborhood Information Meeting and tree planting permit documentation, showing its commitment to transparency and community engagement.

According to the City of Rochester’s review, several key steps remain before final approval, including the execution of a pedestrian facilities agreement in lieu of sidewalk construction along Enterprise Drive SW and final reviews of civil and stormwater plans.

"We're excited to bring this next chapter of Kreofsky Building Supplies to life," said Vanessa Hines, Vice President of Widseth. "This project supports both the company’s long-term goals and the continued development of Southwest Rochester."

Additional comments from the city confirm that obligations related to Sewer Availability Charges (SAC) and Water Access Charges (WAC) have already been met. A Plant Investment Fee (PIF) will be assessed during the building permit process, and a potential City-Owner Contract may be needed for watermain extensions and hydrant installations.

For stormwater questions, the city directed inquiries to Seth Loken, while civil engineering and contract coordination will be handled by Kyle Mittlieder. The pedestrian facilities agreement is being managed by Jamie Miller.

This development represents another step forward in the growth of Rochester’s industrial and commercial landscape, enhancing both the economy and infrastructure of the Willow Center area.
