Yuma Fritas Brings Cuban-Inspired Flavor to Soldiers Field Plaza

Guided by Chef Justin Schoville and Lindsay Zubay, Yuma Fritas brings a fresh twist to traditional street fare, mixing comfort and creativity. Its signature dish is the fritas burger, a Cuban staple. Guests will get to experience and fresh menu from Justin and team soon.

The idea behind the restaurant draws from bold Cuban flavors and a vision for a warm, energetic setting. The space will feature clean, inviting design elements think plenty of greenery, bright accents, and Cuban-influenced music to enhance the overall dining experience.

Championship Dining Group has a history of operating in Rochester with popular spots like Hot Chip Burger Bar, Boxcar Hippie, and North Mr. Pizza, and Yuma Fritas builds on that foundation of community-focused dining experiences.

The team expects to bring on 20–30 staff members and will be open all week. Situated in Soldiers Field Plaza, the restaurant benefits from convenient parking and easy access, helping draw consistent traffic. Set to debut in mid-December, Yuma Fritas is gearing up to be a bold, energetic new player in Rochester’s expanding culinary landscape.
