The Goddard School Now Open in Rochester

A nationally recognized name in early childhood education is making its debut in Rochester. The Goddard School, known for its nurturing curriculum and community-first approach, has renovated a 13,600-square-foot facility at 2364 Valleyhigh Drive NW, with doors expected to open in the near future.

The location, previously home to the YMCA Early Childhood Learning Center from 2018 to 2024 and originally built for Rosa Parks Charter High School, is undergoing a complete transformation into a state-of-the-art preschool and daycare. Once complete, the school will serve infants through Pre-K, offering a blend of structured learning and play-based development.

This new franchise is led by Rochester native Callie Voelz a former educator and realtor with a passion for child development and community building. Voelz, a Winona State University graduate, brings both local insight and professional experience to this new venture, which will operate under the Goddard School's national framework.

At the heart of the school’s approach is the “Wonder of Learning™” curriculum, a method that emphasizes STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), social-emotional development, teamwork, and critical thinking. This well-rounded philosophy has helped Goddard Schools nationwide serve nearly 100,000 students across 37 states.

Pre-enrollment is currently open, with the school actively promoting its "Now Enrolling" status on its website.
