Owned by Shelly Halfman, the seasonal shop helps students sell last year’s prom dresses while giving others a chance to browse affordable, gently used formalwear in a try-on shopping environment.

This year’s grand opening ran January 10 – 11 from 10 AM to 2 PM, with drop-off hours for dress consignments held January 5 – 9 from 4 – 7 PM. The Rochester location was one of two this season, alongside a South Metro location, and the pop-up remained open through April, giving students plenty of time to find.

Prom Resale operates as a seasonal pop-up, allowing sellers to reclaim value from last year’s gowns while helping other shoppers find high-quality dresses at a fraction of retail prices. The shop has become a local tradition, blending convenience, affordability, and style for Rochester families.

The new Miracle Mile location was made possible with the help of Justin Collopy and Bucky Beeman at Realty Growth Inc., who assisted Shelly Halfman in leasing the commercial space for this seasonal pop-up.
