A once-vacant commercial lot in northwest Rochester has transformed into a state-of-the-art auto repair facility. Encompass Auto Care, now open just off Highway 52, is the city’s newest full-service mechanic shop, proudly serving drivers of all makes and models—including import and German vehicles.
Founded by longtime mechanic Craig, the shop is the result of a year-long effort that started with land acquisition and ended with a purpose-built facility designed for modern auto repair needs. “We bought the lot on May 22nd... and we got a build going,” said Craig. “Started breaking ground in October."
The facility, constructed by Kramer Construction, includes a wide range of features aimed at efficiency, comfort, and performance. In-floor radiant heating was installed by B&C Plumbing, helping reduce monthly heating costs while keeping the space cozy for both customers and staff. High-efficiency LED lighting by Med City Electric and white reflective walls keep the interior bright and open.
One of the standout features is a Hunter alignment rack capable of lifting vehicles up to 16,000 pounds. “I can perform alignments on it... and can also do just normal everyday work,” said Craig.
Craig brings nearly two decades of experience to the shop, particularly with European vehicles. “I specialize in European vehicles—BMW, Audi, Volkswagens, Porsches, Mercedes. All makes, all models,” he said.
